The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular in Grand Haven will take place on July 4, 2018 and is funded by the City of Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township and many area businesses and organizations. Thanks to all who contribute to one of West Michigan’s largest 4th of July fireworks displays!
To start the evening, the Armed Forces Medley, specifically recognizing those who have served or are currently serving in our Armed Forces, will play at 10:04pm. The main show will follow with a start time of 10:10pm. This year’s show will run approximately 28 minutes and will feature the Grand Haven Musical Fountain along with over 3000 fireworks.
Please remember that the placement of spot marking materials prior to 12:01 a.m. is prohibited. Items that may be used to mark a spot include blankets and sheets, golf tees and caution tape. Signs informing the public of this notice will be posted.
Please remember that no tents, sand bags, plastic tarps, duct tape, rocks, stakes or spray paint are allowed. Plastic tarps suffocate and kill the grass. Rocks and stakes present a tripping hazard. All plastic tarps, duct tape, rocks, or stakes placed in any public park or on public property at any time will be removed and disposed of by the City of Grand Haven.
The Ottawa County Sheriff patrol will clear the seawall of all boat traffic on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 12:00 noon. No mooring will be allowed along the seawall after that time. Boats may moor on the seawall after 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5th.
The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular requires hundreds of individuals to pull it off, many of them volunteering their time. We’d like to thank the nearly 50 firefighters, over 100 police officers, DNR officers and dozens of Coast Guardsmans who will spend the evening protecting and serving for the thousands of viewers who come to watch the show.
